Iran announces execution of Qasim Soleimani's informant

Iran has said it will soon execute an Iranian national who allegedly gave information to the United States and Israel about General Qasim Soleimani's movements. Iranian judiciary spokesman Ghulam Hussein Ismaili announced at a news conference in Tehran that Mahmoud Mousavi, a spy for the US Central Intelligence Agency and the Israeli intelligence agency Mossad, had been sentenced to death by an Iranian court. It will soon be made a sign. The
spokesman said that Mahmoud Mousavi had informed the enemy about the movement of General Qasim Soleimani. The spokesman said Mousavi had been sentenced to death by a revolutionary court in Iran, which was upheld by the Iranian Supreme Court. According to reports, Mahmoud Mousavi is an Iranian citizen and is in the custody of Iranian security forces. It should be noted that the United States had targeted General Qasem Soleimani, the commander of the Quds Force, which oversees the foreign operations of the Iranian Armed Forces, in a drone strike in Iraq on January 3 this year. General Soleimani was killed in the attack, along with several of his comrades. The United States has accused Qasim Soleimani of masterminding attacks on US interests and forces in the Middle East through pro-Iranian militias. Khamenei said that the United States cowardly targeted General Qasim Soleimani. Iranian officials have not yet clarified whether Mahmoud Mousavi had a hand in the US attack on General Qasim Soleimani in January or whether he had previously been spying on General Soleimani. Iran claimed last summer to have captured 17 alleged CIA spies and said some of them had been executed. A spokesman for the Iranian judiciary also said in a press conference that Mousavi was one of the alleged spies who had already been named or that he was separated from them. On the other hand, the United States has not yet responded to the announcement of the Iranian authorities. Tensions between the United States and Iran have risen sharply since the death of General Qasim Soleimani. Iran fired more than a dozen rockets at a US-run Ain al-Assad military base in Iraq yesterday in retaliation for the death of its general. The U.S. military says no one was killed or injured in the attack, which took place in the United States. Have taken over your responsibility again.
